Vankozhi, Seeraga Samba Rice, small onion paste, tomato, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, curd, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt, ghee, oil.
Method Of Preparation :
Marinate vankozhi pieces in curd and ginger-garlic paste.
Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom.
Add small onion paste, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, mint & coriander leaves.
Saute and add tomato, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, curd.
Stir, add vankozhi,water and cook with the lid closed.
Add rice after the vankozhi is three fourth cooked.
Place it on dum, when the water evaporates.
After 20 minutes, add ghee and stir.
Vankozhi Biriyani is ready to serve.
