Kitchen Galatta is a cookery show which presents a variety of delicious, mouth watering and healthy food prepared by celebrities and chefs. Today’s specialities are Kaima Kola Urundai and Prawn Avarai Masala.

Kaima Kola Urundai

Minced Mutton, onion, garlic, lemon, egg, cashew nut, fried bengal gram, fennel, poppy seed, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder, pepper, Kashmiri red chilli powder, mint leaves, salt, oil.

Method of Preparation:
Cook mutton with salt and turmeric powder.
Dry roast cashew nut, poppy seed and fried bengal gram.
Grind them seperately.
Heat oil in a pan and add garlic, cumin, onion, salt.
Saute and keep aside.
Break mutton into small pieces in a bowl.
Add egg, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, pepper, Kashmiri red chilli powder, ground poppy seed, cashew nut and fried bengal gram.
Add coriander leaves, sauteed onions, lemon juice.
Mix everything well and make small balls of the mixture.
Deep fry them in oil and serve.


Prawn Masala

Ingredients :
Prawn, avaraikkai, tomato, onion, green chilli, thalippu vadagam, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar, lemon, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, gingelly oil.

Method of Preparation:
Heat gingelly oil in a pan, add thalippu vadagam, curry leaves,onion.
Add green chilli, tomato, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
Saute and add water.
Add the prawns and let it cook.
Then add sugar, avaraikkai, lemon juice.
Cook and mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves and remove from heat.
