Seemai Thattai

Kitchen Galatta is a cookery show which presents a variety of delicious, mouth watering and healthy food prepared by celebrities and chefs. Today’s specialities are Seemai Thattai, Spaghetti Kothu Kalavai and Meen Thakkali Varuval, presented by chef Rajmohan.

Seemai Thattai (Italian Crostini )

France bread ( Baguette ), mozzarella cheese, tomato, garlic, black olive, pepper, bay leaf, chilli flakes, salt, olive oil.
Method Of Preparation:
Cut the France bread into thin slices, in a slanting angle.
Grind garlic and mix olive oil with it.
Brush the bread with this oil on both sides.
Heat some oil on a pan and toast the bread on both sides.
In a bowl mix tomato, black olives, chilli flakes, salt, pepper, olive oil and basil leaves.
Place this on the bread slice and a cheese slice on top.
Sprinkle with salt and chilli flakes.
Seemai Thattai or Crostini is ready to serve.

Spaghetti Kothu Kalavai ( Spaghetti Bolognese )

Spaghetti, minced mutton, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, pepper, bay leaf, rose mary, cheese, salt, olive oil.
Method Of Preparation:
Heat olive oil in a pan, add garlic, bay leaf, crushed pepper corn, onion, minced mutton and saute.
Season with salt, add tomato puree, tomato sauce and mix well.
Add rose mary, pepper and boil well.
Place the cooked spaghetti on a plate.
Pour this gravy on it.
Grate cheese on top and serve.

Meen Thakkali Varuval

Fish, pepper, tomato sauce, lemon juice, egg, maida, Happima Crispy Fry Mix, salt, oil.
Method Of Preparation:
Marinate boneless small pieces of fish with pepper, salt, tomato sauce and lemon juice.
Beat an egg and keep aside.
Spread maida on a plate.
Spread Happima mix on a plate.
Coat the marinated fish with maida.
Dip it in beaten egg.
Coat it again with Happima mix.
Deep fry in oil and serve.
