Kitchen Galatta is a cookery show which presents a variety of delicious, mouth watering and healthy food prepared by celebrities and chefs. Today’s specialities are Sorakkai Eral Prawn Kuzhambu and Vendhayam Milagu Vanjaram Roast.

Surakkai Eral Kuzhambu

Prawns, surakkai (bottle gourd), onion, tomato, garlic, tamarind paste, mustard, fenugreek, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, oil.
Method Of Preparation:
In a pan, heat oil and temper with mustard, fenugreek and crushed garlic.
Add onions, curry leaves, tomato, surakkai, prawns, coriander leaves and saute well.
In another pan, take tamarind paste and add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder.
Transfer the sauteed prawns to this gravy.
Mix well and boil.
Remove from heat and serve.

Vendhaya Milagu Vanjaram Roast

Vanjaram fish, tamarind paste, garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, fenugreek powder, raw rice, pepper, curry leaves, salt and oil.
Method Of Preparation:
In a wide bowl, add tamarind paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, garlic paste, curry leaves, salt and make a paste.
Marinate the fish pieces in the paste, add fenugreek powder and mix well.
Shallow fry the marinated fish.
Sprinkle a mixture of rice powder and pepper on both sides of the fish.
Fry again and serve hot.
