Kitchen Galatta is a cookery show which presents a variety of delicious, mouth watering and healthy food prepared by celebrities and chefs. Today’s specialities are Drumstick Prawn Curry and Kadai Prawn Curry cooked by chef Pazhani Murugan.

Drumstick Prawn Curry

Prawn, drumstick, small onion, tomato, green chilli, garlic, coconut milk, tamarind paste, mustard, fenugreek, fennel seeds, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder.
Method Of Preparation:
Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, fenugreek, fennel seeds, garlic, small onion, green chilli, curry leaves, drumstick, tomato and prawns.
Saute, cook and season with red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Add water, mix well and add coconut milk.
Bring it to boil and add the tamarind paste.
Sprinkle pepper powder and chopped coriander leaves.
Add some coconut oil and let the gravy boil for sometime.
Remove from heat and serve.

Kadai Prawn Curry

Prawn, onion, tomato, green chilli, capsicum (red, yellow, green), garlic, ginger, ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves, dried red chilli, coriander seeds, cumin, Kasturi methi, Kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala, pepper powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida powder, salt, butter.
Method Of Preparation:
Heat butter in a pan, add cumin, garlic, green chilli and ginger.
Saute and add onions, ginger garlic paste, tomato.
Stir and add the prawns.
Cook the prawns and add the Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and coriander leaves.
Saute and add onions, capsicum, tomato and salt.
Grind dried red chilli, cumin and coriander seeds into a powder.
Add this ground powder to the prawns.
Stir well and add pepper powder, asafoetida powder and coriander leaves.
Finally add Kasthuri methi.
Mix well and serve.
