Kitchen Galatta is a cookery show which presents a variety of delicious, mouth watering and healthy food prepared by celebrities and chefs. Today’s specialities are Nellikai Sadham, Arokya Cutlet and Banana Cake.

Nellikai Sadham

Ingredients:
Boiled rice, nellikai, urad dal, bengal gram, coriander seeds, dried red chilli, asafoetida powder, mustard, curry leaves, salt, oil.
Method of preparation:
Heat oil in a pan, fry urad dal well and then fry bengal gram, coriander seed, dried red chilli, asafoetida powder and saute well.
Let it cool and grind it.
Boil water in a pan, add the nellikai and remove in a minute.
Grind the nellikai along with the ground masala.
Heat oil, temper with mustard and curry leaves.
Add the ground masala and saute well.
Add the boiled rice, salt and mix well.
Nellikai sadam is ready to serve.

Arokya Cutlet

Ingredients:
Boiled potatoes, carrot, sweet corn, green peas, cheese, paneer, chaat masala, Happima Crispy Fry Mix, cornflakes, salt, oil.
Method Of Preparation:
In a bowl mash the potatoes well, add carrot, sweet corn, green peas, pepper powder, chaat masala, salt, paneer, cheese and mix well.
Make this mixture into small round balls.
Dip in Happima mix and water batter.
Roll it on cornflakes and deep fry in oil.
Serve hot with tomato sauce.

Banana Cake

Ingredients:
Maida, banana, sugar, eggs, cardamom essence, baking powder, baking soda, ghee.
Method of Preparation:
Heat sand in a pressure cooker.
In a bowl mash the bananas, add sugar, beaten eggs, cardamom essence, baking powder, baking soda and mix well.
Add maida, ghee and mix well.
Grease a round baking pan with ghee and pour the cake batter.
Place it on the sand in the cooker and cook with lid closed.
Remove from heat,slice and serve.
