Expect Clips to Nail Police on DSP Vishnupriya: Yuvaraj
The suicide case of DSP Vishnupriya, who was found hanging at her official residence here on October 18, received a fresh twist with the alleged mastermind of Gokulraj’s murder, Yuvaraj, threatening to release evidence against certain officials of the district police.
In an audio clip released through social media on Saturday, Yuvaraj, founder of the Dheeran Chinnamalai Gounder Peravai, a fringe caste outfit, claimed to have possessed clinching evidence to prove that the young Deputy Superintendent of Police was under pressure and tortured to such an extent that she could not do anything but to commit suicide.
“I have substantial evidence, but do not know whether it is similar to the one gathered by the investigating agency. I have the recordings of a chat I had with the deceased Deputy Superintendent of Police. This will prove crucial in the case,” he said.
Informed sources stated that he was in touch with Vishnupriya, the court appointed Investigation Officer of the Gokulraj murder case, and once had a 45-minute long chat with her. He had all praise for the Deputy Superintendent of Police then.
Yuvaraj recalled that he mentioned the evidence he had, in a condolence message release to mourn the death of the Deputy Superintendent of Police and said would release it at an opportune time.
“But now I think the right time has come to release the evidence,” he said, adding that it would be made available to the media around 11 am on Sunday.
Casting aspersions on three officials of the police here, he wondered why the government failed even to transfer them.
The stringent action initiated by the Chief Minister over the suicide of agriculture department officer Muthukumarasamy sent out a strong message that no one would be shown any kind of mercy if he or she was caught in wrong doing.
“And the same kind of action must be taken in the suicide case of Deputy Superintendent of Police Vishnupriya because she was pushed to the extreme where she could do nothing but to end her life,” Yuvaraj, who is on the run for about three months, said.
